THE region's food and drink sector has been given a boost after Yorkshire Forward unveiled a £8.8m strategy to help the industry perform and compete more effectively.

The package of support targets four main areas including provenance, supply chains and export support; process innovation; product and packaging innovation; and people and skills.

Key partners will deliver different elements of the support package, with the expertise and resources needed to help the sector develop and innovate.
