Cream of the crop for shopping centre

TEAROOM and gift shop franchise CREAMS British Luxury is bringing new jobs to Yorkshire.

The business has completed a £350,000 refurbishment at a 4,000 sq ft unit in The Core Shopping Centre in Leeds city centre, creating 12 to 15 new jobs.

CREAMS, which was franchised by AKN Solutions by directors Mohammed Kamran, Muhammad Ali Butt and Nisar Hussain, is a group of tearooms designed to bring opulence and elegance to the high street. The new concept, which will offer sit down (high tea) dining, take-away and a gift shop will be situated on Lands Lane, in close proximity to the newly launched Byron Burger.

The Core Shopping Centre is undergoing major works to create a new food cluster for the city.

Nicola Lavelle, property manager at The Core Shopping Centre said: “We’re extremely pleased to welcome CREAMS British Luxury to The Core. Following significant interest in Leeds as a destination for restaurant operators, CREAMS is a unique dining and retail experience, which we know consumers are craving.”

The directors of AKN Solutions added: “CREAMS personifies sophistication, elegance and luxury – on the high street. It’s a unique concept, which we hope will be as well received as it has been in Huddersfield. Feedback to date has been excellent and we look forward to opening our doors in Leeds.”
