Appointments: Keepmoat; CDS; Communisis; The Floow

KEEPMOAT has appointed a new finance director for its new build homes division in Yorkshire ahead of completion of its takeover deal.

Next month, the deal for private equity firms Sun Capital and TDR Capital to takeover Doncaster-headquartered Keepmoat is set to complete.

Stephen Lapthorne has been appointed as finance director for Keepmoat’s new build homes division in Yorkshire.

As part of Keepmoat’s expansion plans, the company expects to increase the number of new homes it builds in Yorkshire by 80% over the next five years. In the 2013/14 financial year Keepmoat built 543 new homes across Yorkshire but has plans to increase that to 975 new homes by 2018/19.

Prior to joining Keepmoat, Lapthorne was finance director at Martek Marine in Rotherham and head of commercial finance at JLA in Ripponden.

CDS Energy Services has appointed an industry heavyweight in a bid to strengthen its position in the sector as it looks to continue its growth.

The Hull-based firm has enjoyed huge success since opening its factory in the city in 2010 and is currently undergoing a major expansion in order increase its operational capacity.

In order to continue its development and secure more work across the energy industry, CDS has employed Glenn Sibbick as its business development director.

Sibbick has more than 40 years’ experience of working in oil and gas across the globe for industry giants such as Exon, Total, Hamilton Oil, BHPP and Centrica.

PRINTING and personalised customer communication services group Communisis has announced this morning that Mike Firth has stepped down from his position as a non-executive director of the group and from the board of directors.

Firth has served as a non-executive director of the Leeds-based group since 2002. 

He will be replaced as chairman of the board’s remuneration committee by non-executive director, Helen Keays, who joined the board in July.

Chairman, Peter Hickson said: “Mike has made a very significant contribution to the development of Communisis during his time on the board.  I know I speak on behalf of every board colleague when I say that each of us has benefitted enormously from his judgement and commitment, and from the perspective he has brought to our discussions. We will all miss him and wish him well in his future endeavours.”

TELEMATICS organisation The Floow has appointed account director Claire Sargeant to manage the firm’s Direct Line Group contract.
 
Sheffield-based The Floow is delivering Direct Line’s smartphone applications and telematics data for its DrivePlus systems. 
 
Aldo Monteforte, CEO of The Floow, said: “We are delighted to welcome Claire as a new member of the team. She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience in the creation and management of telematics programmes, as well as a profound understanding of business management.”
