Ben Bailey Homes commences new £27m development

HOUSEBUILDER Ben Bailey Homes has announced a new £27m housing development.

The Wakefield-based developer intends to build the development in Crigglestone following the acquisition of a piece of land on Standbridge Lane.

A planning application for the 11 acre site to provide 130 homes has been approved and remediation works are now underway.

Construction is expected to commence later this month.

The development will provide a two, three, four and five-bedroom townhouses, semi-detached and detached properties.

Ben Bailey Homes managing director, Mark Mitchell, said: “The purchase of new land in Wakefield is a significant investment for the business and part of our ongoing strategy for a major roll out of new developments across Yorkshire in 2014 and 2015.”

This will be Ben Bailey Homes’ second development in the city following the success of its Lofthouse Park development on Park Drive which sold out earlier this year.

Mitchell added: “Thanks to what our customers have told us, we have designed, developed and built an outstanding collection of new homes with functional and flexible designs.”
