The stage is set for the PR and communications event of the year

MORE than 300 of Yorkshire and Lincolnshire’s leading public relations teams, consultancies and individuals will attend the 2014 CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards next week.

PRide has become the showcase event in the PR and communications calendar, celebrating the best work from the region – which is recognised throughout the UK and judged by a national panel.

The shortlisted candidates include Approach PR and Umpf who top the bill with seven award nominations each. Other agencies recognised include Finn, Grayling and Engage Comms, with in-house teams for East Coast, Asda and South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue also nominated.

The results of the 2014 CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire PRide Awards will be announced at a black-tie awards night next Thursday, November 27, at The Queens, Leeds.

Gary Taylor, chair of the CIPR Yorkshire and Lincolnshire group, said: “This year has seen a lot of change for the CIPR including our new CIPR president Stephen Waddington bringing in new changes and policy to reflect the industry today.

“We’ve seen entries of the highest standard, reflecting the huge amount of professional public relations work that takes place across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. I want to congratulate everyone who made it through the judging process, and I look forward to finding out who takes the gold on the night.”
