Aldermore appoints new regional director for the North

THE invoice finance team at challenger bank Aldermore has strengthened its northern offices with the appointment of Leyton Jeffs as regional director.

Leyton joins from Royal Bank of Scotland where he spent seven years, latterly as head of business development for invoice finance. At Aldermore he will lead the team of 14 sales managers and executives based across the bank’s Leeds and Manchester offices.

Last month, Aldermore set up a new office for its invoice finance division in the heart of the financial district of Leeds.  The Leeds office houses 30 staff who have relocated from the bank’s former premises in Cleckheaton and the team is set to grow as the office becomes Aldermore’s central hub for invoice finance in Yorkshire and the North East.

Damon Walford, managing director of invoice finance at Aldermore said: “Leyton has the perfect skills, experience and ambition to enhance Aldermore’s offering in the North whilst ensuring that we maintain our trademark tailor-made service. Leyton has already set about implementing training and accreditation plans across the business to ensure that every member of our team meets a very high minimum benchmark.

“At Aldermore we believe we are only as good as our customer facing teams which is why we are investing in our staff. I am confident that under Leyton’s leadership our teams will provide the best possible service to small and medium-sized businesses in the North.”

Jeffs added: “I’ve joined Aldermore because it is a young and evolving company. Being small and dynamic, Aldermore are open to change and encourages its staff to constantly think about how we can improve the service and products we provide.

“I’m really looking forward to working with the invoice finance teams across the North and supporting them in their day to day work. My number one priority is supporting our staff, so that they can help enterprising companies access the finance they need.”
