Yorkshire’s Magical Winterland melts away into liquidation

THE company behind Yorkshire Magical Winterland is to be liquidated, after shutting a week before Christmas.
YNW 2014 has appointed Walsh Taylor to oversee the process after the Harrogate attraction struggled with problems that created an underwhelming experience for customers.
Kate Breese, of Walsh Taylor, said: “We understand that a number of exhibits for Yorkshire’s Magical Winterland were not delivered on time which caused disappointment for visitors and the company and its staff and which ultimately led to its early closure.
“We are currently reviewing the company records with a view to determining its financial position, upon which the relevant creditors will be notified of a creditors meeting.
“Our primary objective is to ensure that anybody affected by the situation is contacted to establish if there is any possibility of a return to them as creditors.”
“At this stage it is impossible to determine whether there will be sufficient funds to repay creditors.
“We are working with credit and debit card companies to determine whether those who have paid via this route can claim a refund on their purchase.”
