Keepmoat lands £16.8m contract

HOUSING and regeneration specialist Keepmoat has re-secured a major £16.8m contract to provide essential housing maintenance support to around 4,000 homes across Yorkshire.

The company’s repairs and maintenance division, Keepmoat Property Services, which is based in Leeds, has been selected for the £16.8m ( £2.1m per year) contract with Leeds Federated Housing Association, a social housing provider across Leeds, Harrogate and Wakefield.

The eight year agreement, which was secured following a competitive tender process, will see the Doncaster-headquartered company deliver all responsive maintenance and emergency repair support to 4,000 homes located across the region.

This will include all out-of-hours emergency work, void property works including inspection, security and major works, handy-person services, and disabled aids and adaptations services.

The contract win builds on the company’s existing work with Leeds Federated Housing Association which started in 2007. This includes a dedicated call centre service, set up and managed by Keepmoat, which provides over-the-phone support to Leeds Federated residents.

Helen Francis, business development director at Keepmoat Property Services, said: “This was a highly competitive re-tender process, and our success is testament to the high quality service that we offer residents across the region.

“We’re thrilled to be appointed to this contract and look forward to continuing our work with Leeds Federated.”

Stephen Ellis, head of assets and development for Leeds Federated added: “We are committed to providing a high quality responsive repairs and voids service for our customers. Before awarding this contract we consulted widely to ensure the latest in best practice and innovation was included and undertook a rigorous procurement process.

“Leeds Federated is looking forward to working with Keepmoat on the new responsive repairs and voids contract and taking the current good level of service up to great.”

Keepmoat Property Services, based at Bowling Green Terrace in Holbeck, is responsible for maintaining more than 102,000 homes nationally and completing more than 255,000  responsive repairs each year in order to create safe and comfortable homes.

Keepmoat, a £1bn company, has 22 regional offices and employs over 3,000 people across the UK.
