Former Howgate Sable partner launches venture

A FORMER partner of executive search firm Howgate Sable has launched his own venture after more than 18 years with the firm.

Martin Boyle has set up Advent Search Partners, which will focus on industry, infrastructure, private equity and professional services, handling searches for board and head of function appointments.

The Leeds and London-based firm will also provide an executive coaching service through another familiar figure within the regional business community, Sean Lippell, formerly a leading corporate lawyer at Addleshaw Goddard, where he became managing partner of the firm’s corporate division.

Mr Boyle said: “Advent has been founded to be a clearly differentiated boutique executive search firm, which will utilise our experience of the market and accumulated knowledge of how and where to identify and attract good people.

“As my career has been based around individuals taking on fresh challenges, I became attracted by the prospect myself. Having spent over 18 years with the same firm, I suppose you could say that I have decided to speed up a bit.”
