Extraction firm steaming ahead with MBO

DIRECTORS at extraction firm Purex International Ltd have completed a management buyout of the business.

The Rotherham fume extraction specialist was a subsidiary of parent company Domino Printing Sciences plc.

Hart Shaw and hlw Keeble Hawson represented Andy Easey and Trefor Jones in the purchase of Purex International which has a turnover of around £10m and operating profits in excess of £1.8m.

Purex, which employs 30 people manufactures fume extraction systems for blue chip manufacturing companies worldwide.

The business has been part of the Domino Group, which develops and manufactures printing technologies for manufacturers via a global network of 25 subsidiary offices, – since 2004.

Trefor Jones, managing director said: “Hart Shaw and hlw Keeble Hawson have a wealth of expertise in MBOs and have added immense value to the purchase.

“Andy and I, along with our team, are excited by the opportunity to develop new markets and applications and our plans include further investment in new products.”
