Xercise4Less invests £1m in Scottish expansion

BUDGET gym operator, Xercise4Less, is continuing its expansion in Scotland with the opening of a £1million fitness club in Edinburgh.

The new site, opening on April 17, will be the fourth Xercise4Less gym in Scotland, and will create 30 new jobs.

The city centre gym, which covers 29,500sq ft, brings the group’s total investment across the country to £5m.

Jon Wright, Xercise4Less chief executive officer, said: “We are delighted to be able to bring affordable fitness to Edinburgh.

“Not only is this our fourth gym opening in Scotland, but it demonstrates our commitment to providing accessible fitness to everyone across the country at unrivalled prices.

“We have big expansion plans for Scotland with another 10 gyms in the pipeline before the end of the year, including Glasgow Cambridge Street and Clydebank .”

New general manager is Ryan Clarke said: “My biggest passion in life is sport and having worked in various fitness clubs across the country, I’m looking forward to putting my skills and industry knowledge in place to make Edinburgh Xercise4Less the best club in the business.

“The company has a fantastic ethos; they really care about their members and helping them meet their fitness goal, which is what really attracted me to the job. The brand is expanding at such a rapid rate and I’m just grateful to be a part of it.”

Xercise4Less has 26 clubs across the UK with 200,000 members and is set to launch up to 30 more clubs by the end of the year. The chain operates across the UK in regions including the North East, Yorkshire, North West and the Midlands.
