IP law firm doubles turnover despite "challenging" times

INTANGIBLE assets and IP firm Virtuoso Legal has seen a 100% increase in turnover during its last financial period, ending July 2014.

The firm is now aiming to turn over £1 million by the end of December 2015.
It has organically grown the business through new and existing clients.

Last year the firm attracted some high profile new clients, including Ringtons Tea, Glass’ Guide, Trio Healthcare and The Estate of Peter Sellers.

To support its ambitious expansion, the firm plans to take on two additional members of staff over the next year, taking the team up to eight. Virtuoso Legal recently moved to a larger office in Leeds to accommodate this growth.

Elizabeth Ward, principal at Virtuoso Legal, said: “These are still challenging times for small businesses in the legal sector, which is why we are especially pleased with our most recent financial results.

“I believe our success has been achieved by staying true to our values and excelling with our customer service.

“As an industry-celebrated, award winning firm we are proud to provide a truly specialised service to ambitious, tech-savvy corporate clients who are willing and ready to maximise the potential of their intellectual property assets through commercialisation.

“We remain dedicated to providing the very best service to clients and working in continued partnership. Our team’s specialist knowledge, skills and experience mean we’re able to offer unbeatable commercial advice.”
