Leeds University alumnus appointed FD at St Modwen

LEEDS UNIVERSITY graduate Rob Hudson has been appointed finance director of St Modwen.

The developer, which is driving the plans to regenerate Billingham town centre, announced in December that current finance director Mike Dunn would leave at the end of May. Mr Hudson will take up his position by October, with group finance controller Andy Taylor stepping up in the interim period.

Mr Hudson, who graduated with a first-class degree in mathematics from the University of Leeds in 1994, began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers before moving to Experian in 2000 where he rose to be finance director then UK operations managing director.

He is currently group financial controller at British Land, who he joined in 2011, and is also a non-executive director at the English National Ballet School.

Bill Oliver, chief executive of St Modwen, said: “Rob’s wide-ranging financial skills and experience combined with his property sector knowledge will make him an excellent addition to the Company. I look forward to working with him to support the ongoing growth and success of St. Modwen’s business.”
