Jobs lost as liquidation looms for one-year old radiator firm

ELECTRIC radiator firm Yorkshire Electric Radiators Ltd is heading for liquidation after directors called for a meeting of shareholders and creditors.

11 employees have already been made redundant.

Peter Sargent and Richard Kenworthy of Begbies Traynor Halifax office were appointed to Brighouse-based radiator firm, and are set to place the firm into liquidation.

Cash flow issues due to the lack of seasonal demand has reportedly caused the issues that led to the calling of the creditors.

Just over a year old, the firm was founded in early 2014, and designs and manufactures electric radiators in the West Yorkshire town.

Nominated liquidator Peter Sargent said: “Unfortunately, the business suffered from a lack of seasonal demand leading to cash flow difficulties.
” While the owners have funded the losses until now, they cannot continue to do so and, therefore, we are looking for a buyer to rescue the business and we have already had some initial interest in it.”
