LAREDOUTE has appointed a chief executive, Richard Burke for its UK operations.

Predecessor Saida Gallouj has moved to become the head of laredoute.com.

Mr Burke began its time at LaRedoute, which has UK headquarters in Bradford, in warehouse operations.

Michael Truluck, chief executive of La Redoute International, said: “Richard’s progression in the retail environment, detailed knowledge of the business and his close involvement in the development of our current business strategy made him the ideal choice for the role.

“Richard has a real enthusiasm and passion for ensuring people reach their potential and he has a proven ability to grow great teams which will be pivotal in the success of La Redoute UK.”

Richard Burke, chief executive of La Redoute UK, added: “It’s an exciting time for the brand and I’m hugely proud to be at the helm of La Redoute UK. In the short term my role is to ensure the business maintains its commercial success while making sure we have a strategy in place to sustain long term growth and profitability.”
