Hazardous waste firm takes 13,000 sq ft to grow its Oates

A SPECIALIST in hazardous waste disposal and industrial tank cleaning has moved across Leeds to create its own waste treatment facility.

Oates Environmental has moved from east to west Leeds, swapping its Hunslet base for 13,000 sq ft in Armley as it prepares for further growth.
Simon Oates, managing director of Oates Environmental, said: “We were searching for new premises which would allow us to expand our operation, but finding a site that allowed us to achieve this without having to compromise on any factors was challenging. The site on Carr Crofts Drive was ideal as it gave us scope to develop our own waste treatment facility.”
Oates Enviromental was advised by Sanderson Weatherall, which arranged the letting on behalf of a private landlord.
Sanderson Weatherall surveyor Jonathon White said: “We are seeing increasing demand in Yorkshire and in Leeds in particular for industrial premises with yard space, as this gives businesses greater ability to expand their operation. For many businesses, this flexibility to expand at their own pace without restriction is vital to their continued success.”
