MBO is boxed off at Leeds packaging firm

A WOMAN who took a career break to be a full-time mother has completed an MBO of the firm she restarted her career at 12 years ago.
Louise O’Brien has bought Leeds-based Greyhound Box and Packaging from founder Ian Jenner for an undisclosed sum in a deal which will see her step up from general manager to managing director.
Following the MBO, which was backed by Spadina Capital, the company is targeting a 15% increase in turnover to £4m.
Greyhound, which employs 30 people in Hunslet, designs and manufactures corrugated cardboard packaging solutions for clients across a range of industries includinge retail, pharmaceuticals and agriculture.
Ms O’Brien said: “Looking to the future, our people and customers will continue to come first, and we will be looking at how we can further differentiate and offer something a bit different from other packaging suppliers.
“We’ll be looking to further strengthen our environmental credentials and target new customers with the addition of Forestry Stewardship Certification and Bulk Distribution Carton Metrics approval later this year.”
