Awards: Grant Thornton, Langleys, Hentons
A SENIOR MANAGER at Grant Thornton is one of only five professionals across the UK to be shortlisted for the Young Practitioner of the Year Award by the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners.
Nathan Potton joined the firm in 2007 as a tax associate, working his way up to senior manager level.

SOLICITORS Langleys are celebrating the success of two of their staff, who have achieved the Older Client Care in Practice (OCCP) Award from the organisation Solicitors for the Elderly.
Serena Brotherton and Amanda Gale both work in the private client unit at Langleys Solicitors and are members of SFE.
Andrew Fearn, head of private law at Langleys, said: “We congratulate Serena and Amanda on their achievement.
“The award recognises their expertise in this area of private client work which involves a strong understanding of the needs and additional considerations required when acting for older and vulnerable clients, their families and representatives.”

TAX consultant Peter Earley from accountancy firm Hentons has received an Association of taxation Technicians award for his stellar exam results.
Mr Earley received the best exam results in the city in his three ATT papers.
Nadeem Ahmed, managing partner of Leeds-based Hentons, which has a team of 50 staff working with a wide range of growing businesses, said: “We applaud Peter’s hard work and it is great to see young, ambitious talented people coming through the firm.”
