Appointments: WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff, Callcredit Information, Proactis

ENGINEERING consultancy WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has appointed three people in senior positions at its Leeds office.

The business has employed 32 staff as part of a recruitment drive since the start of 2015, with 270 staff now in their Leeds team.

Associate Vidya Thammandra joins the firm’s highways and bridges team, after moving to the UK in 2001 after working for the Indian Railway Service.

The WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff water services division has welcomed associate Matthew Wilson-Wright and principal engineer Martin Eley to the team.

Mr Eley joins after five years at Yorkshire Water as part of a BarhaleWSP joint venture for the £60 million framework to upgrade the utility company’s water and sewerage network.

CONSUMER data firm Callcredit Information Group have appointed Mark Davison to the newly-created role of chief data officer.

Mr Davison has worked for the firm since 1997, and has held a number of board-level roles in IT and corporate development.

Mike Gordon, chief executive at Callcredit said: “I am delighted that Mark has accepted the challenge of this unique role. We have a hard won reputation for delivering innovation to the markets we serve. Mark has played a big part in that to date.

“That reputation is underwritten by an absolute necessity for us to be transparent to consumers, business and other stakeholders, including consumer groups and our regulators’ about how we collect, process, store and deploy the privileged data we are stewards of.”

LISTED spend-control firm Proactis has gained a permanent board member in Tim Sykes. who has stepped down as chief financial officer or diagnostics firm Avacta.

Mr Sykes has agreed to become the Proactis’ full-time chief financial officer.

He has helped in the provision of services to small listed firms on a part-time bases for the past 10 years, and was initially hesitant to take on the CFO role because of his affinity for working with smaller firms.

However after some time to decide, Mr Sykes reconsidered, leaving his part-time position at Avacta, and will help develop the Proactis group’s M&A programme and investor relations strategy.

Dr. Trevor Nicholls, non-executive chairman of Avacta Group, said: “The Board would like to thank Tim for all his hard work and many contributions to the Group since its IPO in August 2006. We wish him the best of success for the future.”
