Trio of partners added to EY team

PROFESSIONAL services firm EY has added three equity partners to its team as it looks to expand in the region

Paul Tomlinson has joined from Deloitte, after having first joined EY in 1998. He will become part of the firm’s financial services advisory performance improvement team.

Mark Morrit has been promoted internally after joining EY in 2005. He has a particular focus on multinational listed firms, advising EY’s New York clients, and worked on a secondment at a UK private equity-backed business.

Christopher Gallagher has joined EY’s advisory team across Yorkshire and the North West to lead its Internal audit, risk and Controls practice in the North, after a career at PwC.

He specialises in providing assurance, governance, risk management and controls services to a range of clients across the public and private sectors.

Stuart Watson, senior partner at EY in Yorkshire and Humberside, said: “Developing our people is a vital part of our growth strategy, and this investment in senior talent reflects not only our growing ambition in Yorkshire but also our confidence in the long-term outlook for our regional economy.

“These appointments show a real commitment to investing in our people and our offering to Yorkshire companies. Mark, Paul and Christopher’s professionalism, ambition and experience will be absolutely critical in continuing our strong momentum and achieving our expansion plans over the coming years.”

Nationally, EY has appointed 95 equity partners to its UK business, including 44 internally promoted partners and a record 51 direct entry partners from its competitors and industry.
