Gordons team break away to launch private client firm

A TEAM from law firm Gordons LLP have broken away from the firm, announcing the launch of new business Progeny Private Law.

Lawyers Frances Davies, Suzannah Farnell, Simon Glazebrook, and private client partner Martin Hasyn, have more than 50 years experience between them in advising private clients.

The firm has been set up as a limited company, in which the former Gordons quartet will become directors.

The team all worked together at Gordons LLP, and decided that there was “scope for more competition” in the private law market.

The firm will deal exclusively with private clients and trustees, from high net worth individuals to families and businesses.

Frances Davies, a former partner at Gordons where she worked for 12 years, said: “We are really excited to be involved with a business from the very beginning, to create a working environment where people are proud to be lawyers and to have the opportunity to place clients’ interests at the centre of everything.”

Suzannah Farnell, who was at Gordons for 10 years said: “The idea behind Progeny is to create a firm where excellence is the standard of every aspect of the business – excellent legal advice, first class client service and outstanding training and development opportunities for all the members of our team.”
