Passengers are flying to 40 destinations across 14 countries from the airport, including locations in Portugal, Spain and Greece.

Paris, Amsterdam, Budapest and Prague top of the list for city breaks.

The airport’s authorities said they had seen increased demand for flights across the UK to London, Belfast, Southampton and Scotland, and is welcoming and more and more overseas visitors flying into our region to stay in Leeds, York, Harrogate and across Yorkshire.

Tony Hallwood Leeds Bradford® Airports aviation development director said: “Leeds Bradford’s growth in passenger numbers continues to prove that Yorkshire holidaymakers and travellers want to fly close to home rather than having to risk traffic delays and congestion on the motorway network flying from other airports.
“With our wide choice of destinations and airlines linked to our continued investment in our passenger facilities we are increasingly becoming the first choice for travellers wishing to fly abroad on holiday or for a city break. ”
