Toy distributor in major West Yorkshire warehouse deal

TOY and games company Grant & Bowman is to move in to a 100,000 sq ft warehouse next to Leeds Bradford Airport after securing “an important deal” for the region’s industrial property market.
The three-year agreement more than doubles the company’s warehouse space in Yorkshire, adding to 85,000 sq ft north of Bradford.
Grant & Bowman distributes discounted toys and games through its European network, which makes the location of the Leeds Bradford Airport Industrial Estate at Yeadon “perfect” for the company.
David Bowman, managing director of Grant & Bowman, said: “Our 85,000 sq ft warehouse at Bradford, which we use for storing our toys, is now full and so it made perfect sense to lease another large, well-located and well-appointed unit in Yorkshire. The competitive rental was also a key factor.
“Now this warehouse deal has been done, we are looking to expand our operations and are keen to work with any manufacturers and distributors of toys and household goods who want to discreetly dispose of their slow-selling products.”
Knight Frank industrial property specialist Nick Prescott, who advised Grant & Bowman, added: “In the past couple of years we have seen confidence return to the industrial property market in Yorkshire – and the letting of a 100,000 sq ft warehouse at Leeds-Bradford Airport Industrial Estate Business Park is a telling demonstration of this.”
Landlords Learmonth Property Investment Company, part of Broadland Properties, were advised by property consultancies GVA Bilfinger and Gent Visick.
