TheBusinessDesk.com smashes August record

AUDIENCE growth on TheBusinessDesk.com in Yorkshire increased at its fastest-ever rate in August as the regional business news website accelerates towards a record performance in 2015.

Page views increased by 47% compared to a year earlier to hit 265,000 in August, as our coverage of deals including the sales of FMG to Redde, the Kerfoot Group to French giant the Avril Group, and gadget retailer RED5 to MenKind, alongside the stock market wobbles and the changing fortunes of the region’s big companies including Asda and Morrisons, helped to smash the monthly record.
The strong August figures take the year-to-date total to 2.3m – 500,000 page views higher than has ever been reached at this point before.
Alex Turner, editor of TheBusinessDesk.com Yorkshire, said: “The continued growth throughout 2015 has been fantastic to see and shows no sign of slowing.
“It reinforces our market-leading position in the region and demonstrates the value we provide both to our readers and advertisers.
“Allied to the success of our Business Masters and Rainmaker award evenings and the launch of our sporting lunches, 2015 has already proven to be a fantastic year for the business.”
