NG Bailey gets slice of £430m hospitals contract

NG BAILEY has secured an £80m contract to deliver a Midland Metropolitan Hospital scheme.

The Ilkley-based firm is building services partner to Carillion’s joint venture, The Hospital Company.

It will help deliver the Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust’s public private partnership scheme, a £430m contract for Carillion.

NG Bailey will work alongside the construction giant to help build a 670-bed hospital with 15 operating theatres.

As part of the contract, NG Bailey will manage the mechanical and electrical installation in the building worth c£80m.

Construction is expected to start early in 2016 with completion scheduled for mid-2018
