Engineering firm acquires Leeds offices

LEEDS-BASED business DC Precision Engineering, has acquired new premises.

A £122,000 property loan and funding package from The Royal Bank of Scotland allowed the company to invest in 3,000 sq ft premises at Upper Westland Square in Leeds.

This will allow the company, which was founded in 2009 by Yorkshire businessmen, Craig Tranmer and David Waite, to grow further.

The manufacturing floor contains 7 milling and turning machines, able to produce bespoke components for sectors including oil and gas, petroleum and textiles.

The company turns over £300,000 annually, and the pair employ two apprentices, one of which has currently qualified.

Craig Tranmer, director of DC Precision Engineering Ltd, said: “We chose our new premises as they were equipped with everything we were looking for in terms of space and facilities on site. This has eased the process of moving in and has allowed us to become fully operational from day one.

“We couldn’t be more delighted with The Royal Bank of Scotland’s support. As a new banking partner they have been positive to deal with from the outset and provided the right level of personal support you require when looking for this type of investment.

“We are confident we can grow the business further now we have the extra capacity to take on more clients and much needed storage.”

Juven Nalson, relationship manager at The Royal Bank of Scotland, added, “We welcome DC Precision Engineering to the bank and pleased we could help them facilitate their next move, which will enhance their business.

“It has been a pleasure getting to know Craig and David and we look forward to seeing what opportunities our investment will bring.”
