£2m refurbishment for Yorkshire House

LEEDS’ Yorkshire House on Greek Street is undergoing a refurbishment after a £2m investment.

Manchester-based Workspace Design & Build is fitting out the 83,000 sq ft site.

Yorkshire House was acquired by London property investors FORE Partnership for £17m in 2014.

FORE’s managing partner, Basil Demeroutis said: “We see increasing demand from businesses looking for office space that is both design-led as well as focused on the wellbeing of their staff and other stakeholders.

“We are excited about taking on a building that is fundamentally good but has the potential to be made excellent.”

“The building will be split into two products giving it a new identity in the market.

“We are answering the call for centrally located media style ‘character’ space to accommodate creative companies of Leeds whilst offering flexible corporate space on the larger floor plates.”

Workspace managing director Russell Davis said: “We are delighted to be working at Yorkshire House, given it is such an important building in Leeds city centre.”

Yorkshire House offers Grade A office accommodation to let, ranging from 2,000 sq ft to 10,000 sq ft.
