Metal cutting firm makes major warehouse acquisition

METAL cutting firm Premier Lasertube has acquired a major warehouse in Leeds, doubling its current space.

CBRE’s Leeds Industrial Agency team acquired the 54,210 sq ft warehouse at Treefield Industrial Estate for the firm.

Premier forms part of the Brown & Tawse Steelstock Ltd group portfolio.

They are moving from a 25,000 sq ft site at Confederation Park, having expanded since their move to Leeds in 2012.

CBRE Leeds acted on behalf of Premier Lasertube. Jacques Esterhuizen, senior surveyor at CBRE Leeds, said: “We have seen a trend in companies such as Premier Lasertube struggle to find ‘fit-for-purpose’ facilities. We are delighted to have assisted in the acquisition to deliver a successful outcome for the expanding firm.”

Gent Visick acted on behalf of the Landlord. Andrew Gent, director at Gent Visick, added: “The letting of this property clearly reflects the changed circumstances in the property market where vacant units in good locations are now highly sought after and do not remain vacant for long.”
