Appointments: Rollits, Shulmans, Sterling Corporate Finance

SOLICITOR Gareth Orriss has joined the commercial property team at Rollits.

Mr Orriss qualified as a solicitor in August 2015 and joined Rollits at the beginning of this year from another local law firm.

He will be based in the Hull office. Mr Orriss will cover acquisitions, disposals as well as landlord and tenant work, alongside Neil Franklin, Glenn Craft, David Hextall and Chris Crystal in the firm’s highly respected commercial property team.

CORPORATE law firm, Shulmans is developing its construction team with the appointment of two solicitors.

Former Gordons solicitor Jayne Smiles has 10 years’ experience in the construction industry. specialisms include advising on offshore investment funds on construction related security.

Hayley Hayes, formerly of Cohen Cramer Solicitors, also joins the team. She has run proceedings in both County Court and High Court cases, in addition to facilitating alternative dispute resolution.

STUART Dobbins has joined the team at Sterling Corporate Finance.

He will be working alongside Andrew Rose and Lyndsey Shaw.

Mr Dobbins qualified in 1988 with Price Waterhouse, now PwC. He has 25 years’ experience and started working with Mr Rose initially when both were working at Arthur Anderson in Leeds.

He has held senior roles as finance director in a niche SME, working on transactions across the US and Europe, as well as funding.

Mr Rose said: Stuart has a wealth of experience within corporate consultancy and his appointment will enable us to meet an increasing demand for our corporate M&A activity.”
