Administration for essential oils company

AN essential oils company based near Scunthorpe has gone into administration.

Zest Aromatics of Market Rasen supplied essential oils for the production of creams and fragrances.

It had acquired another company, Potions and Possibilities, in 2009 and began manufacturing a range of products itself

But cash flow issues meant that the company was placed into administration on 2 February.

It had ceased trading prior to administration, with all four Zest employees being made redundant.

Gareth Rusling and Joanne Hammond of Begbies Traynor were appointed as joint administrators of the company.

Joint administrator Gareth Rusling said: “Unfortunately, over the last few years, the business started to suffer from cash flow difficulties and became unviable. We are in process of marketing its assets in order to provide the best possible return for creditors.”
