Rainmaker Awards to celebrate Yorkshire’s corporate finance community

YORKSHIRE’S only community-led corporate finance awards programme, The Rainmaker Awards, will be held on July 7.

Set up to recognise the skill, enterprise, achievement, innovation and excellence of the region’s corporate finance community, the Rainmaker Awards are different.

The shortlisted transactions in the year to March 31 will be picked by an invited 30-strong panel from the corporate finance community. Team category shortlists will be drawn up by TheBusinessDesk.com, after extensive research using Experian CorpFin data.
Firms from across the region will then vote online for all of the category shortlists, with only one vote per category from each firm, to produce the winners.
If your firm would like to be part of our judging process, please email Catherine@outthereevents.com
The winners will then be announced at the Rainmaker Awards dinner at the Royal Armouries, Leeds.
This year’s awards also include a new category, recognising the work of the transaction services teams.

Alex Turner, editor of TheBusinessDesk.com: said: “After last year’s successful launch of the Rainmaker Awards in Yorkshire, we are looking forward to another great evening.

“The last 12 months have seen another active period for the region’s corporate financiers and private equity investors and there are a lot of significant deals for the community to discuss and decide between.”
Deals information will be sourced from Experian CorpFin and TheBusinessDesk’s records of corporate activity, but we also welcome submissions from individual firms. Please email deal details for the year to March 31 to alex.turner@thebusinessdesk.com by April 21.
There are still opportunities for businesses to get involved as sponsors and supporters.
For sponsorship details please contact phillipa.fox@thebusinessdesk.com or seb.hussey@thebusinessdesk.com
