AQUATRUST has opened an office in the North West and has moved to bigger premises in Cleckheaton as it continues its expansion drive.

Established 13 years ago with two directors and three staff, the company, which specialises in water treatment services including legionella control and water regulation compliance, now has a workforce of 30.

Gary Russell, MD of Aquatrust, said: “Over the years, we have grown through recommendation, repeat business and referral and developed fairly organically.

“In 2015 however, we decided that we needed to be more proactive and develop the business through investment and marketing and that’s what we’ve done.

“We also have plans to diversify the services we offer by expanding our training delivery and offer an electronic monitoring system to make compliance easier for clients.”

This year the company moved from its premises in Liversedge to The Grange on Whitcliffe Road in Cleckheaton. It also established its first satellite office, opening a branch in St Helens with a team of six. It exceeded its targets for 2015/16 and has set an ambitious target for this year of £1.4m turnover.

WEEKS after the official launch of Normanton-based Eric Wright Water, the company is pushing ahead with ambitious growth plans which will double its workforce in Yorkshire this year.

Part of the Eric Wright Group, Eric Wright Water has evolved from Eric Wright Civil Engineering specifically to address the needs of the water industry.

The company forecasts a £36m turnover by the end of 2016 and has secured a £100m framework appointment from Yorkshire Water, which has resulted in 15 individual projects so far.

Neal Whittle, senior director at Eric Wright Water, said: “We are currently on site at five locations in Yorkshire and are actively involved in flood recovery works, with programmes at two waste water pumping station plants following the floods in December.

“Our business model combines specialist water sector expertise that has been brought into the business by acquisition and recruitment, an enviable track record in civil engineering and a heritage in construction that dates back to 1923. That combination gives us enormous potential for growth both in Yorkshire and beyond and we are now actively recruiting for a variety of roles.”

OscreteOSCRETE CONSTRUCTION PRODUCTS, a division of Christeyns UK, has invested in a multi-compartment tanker unit capable of carrying 30,000 litres.

The tanker is currently on site at Christeyns headquarters in Bradford undergoing final testing and risk assessment checks.

This is the first tanker purchase for Christeyns, following an investment of more than £220,000, and will be used to streamline its construction chemical deliveries.

Currently the company carries out bulk deliveries using a standard rigid lorry.

This new tanker will mean that Oscrete can offer a much quicker and more efficient service, which will also provide health and safety benefits for the driver and delivery teams.

Richard Boardman, logistics manager at Christeyns, said: “Our reputation is based not only on our products but on the service we provide to our customers.  The arrival of our new Oscrete tanker will have a huge impact on the distribution side of our business allowing us to offer an even better level of service.

“We will be able to optimise transport scheduling within geographical areas, reduce delivery frequency and be much more pro-active.  The investment made in this tanker will ensure we can meet growing demands and keep ahead of the game.”
