Jet2 takes off with expansion at Leeds Bradford

LEEDS-BASED Jet2 has launched its biggest programme of flights and holidays, expanding Leeds Bradford Airport’s connections to Europe.

Two new destinations, Girona on the Costa Brava and Naples have been added to its roster.

The airline and holiday operator now has 43 destinations under its wing at the regional airport.

With the addition of these latest destinations more than 300 weekly flights will operate over the summer season.

Having invested in a new fleet, Jet2 has now introduced an 11th aircraft. Now, 1.5m seats available, with daily flights to Ibiza and double daily flights to Alicante, Majorca and Malaga during peak season.

The airline said there will be “significant” capacity increases on Canary Island favourites Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Tenerife.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have also extended their flying programme to Cypriot hotspots Larnaca and Paphos in addition to Nice and Dubrovnik, so customers can really maximise the summer at the start and the end of the season.
