European airline expands at Leeds Bradford Airport

LEEDS BRADFORD AIRPORT is set to see the launch of another weekday service to Amsterdam after demand for the route soared.

KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is increasing their capacity from the regional airport, adding a further 25,800 seats to the route over summer 2016.

KLM has seen strong passenger growth on the route to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport hub to more than 130 worldwide connections via KLM’s network.

The KLM flights will depart Leeds Bradford at 6:20, 9:10, 13:25 and 17:30. On the return journey, the flights depart Amsterdam at 08:25, 12:40, 16:45 and 21:10.

Tony Hallwood, aviation development director at Leeds Bradford Airport, said: “We’re really pleased to see this increase to the KLM schedule from Leeds Bradford. Our customers have been making regular use of Amsterdam route as it’s such an important key market for business travellers alongside offering fantastic connections to over a hundred worldwide destinations. We look forward to welcoming even more passengers through our doors to fly KLM from Leeds Bradford Airport.”

Warner Rootliep, general manager of Air France-KLM UK and Ireland, said: “We are delighted to introduce a frequency increase on our Leeds Bradford service to Amsterdam.
