Revenues up by a third at Polypipe

DESPITE uncertainty in its core UK market with the looming EU referendum, manufacturer Polypipe is confident in its performance this year.

Revenues have already increased on the year before, with revenues for the four months to April 2016 increasing by £148.9m, up from £112.4m in the comparable period in 2014. This is a 32.5% increase for the group.

The company put this down to a stabilised market on mainland Europe, as well as a”favourable market backdrop” though it acknowledged that short term disruption in the UK market may affect its later results.

David Hall, chief executive, commented: “Our growth initiatives combined with the continued positive fundamentals in our main UK market have delivered an excellent start to the year.

“Whilst we remain alert to the potential impact of continuing short term economic and political uncertainty in our core UK market, with this strong start we believe that the Group is well positioned to deliver results for the full year in line with expectations.”
