On the Move: Tall agency aims high with relocation; Flemingate opening for interiors firm; HQ move for specialist tax dispute business; and more

DIGITAL and creative agency Tall has completed its third office move in three years, all within Holbeck Urban Village.

The move follows a number of new business wins and sports campaign successes for Tall, including the Global FEI (International Federation for Equestrian Sports) and British explorer Ed Stafford, best known for his adventures featured on the Discovery Channel.

Tall has moved into a 1,020 sq ft office in Marshalls Court, a restored mill building in the heart of Holbeck Urban Village. Tall began in 2011, with founder Guy Utley working from a small office in the Tower Works development.

Two years and three new employees later, Tall had outgrown the space, so the team moved to a larger office just around the corner in Holbeck Urban Village, on Water Lane. Now, Tall is an eight-strong team and has settled into a spacious studio in neighbouring Marshalls Court, to  give the business room to grow.

Mr Utley said: “We’re always keen to stay within Holbeck Urban Village; being close to other creative businesses is great for us, as it gives us the opportunity to support and work with like-minded people. Tall has expanded quite rapidly in the past five years, so the fact that Holbeck Urban Village has a diverse range of office spaces has meant that we’ve been able to move quickly and smoothly, without disruption.”

Baytree InteriorsBAYTREE Interiors continues its expansion within Yorkshire with a store opening at Flemingate, the 162,561 sq ft retail and leisure development in Beverley which opened in November last year.

The new store is the first in East Yorkshire and the twelfth for the quickly expanding Baytree Interiors, which has recently opened in Huddersfield and has planned store openings in both Leeds and Manchester later this year.

Dominic Gibbons, managing director of Wykeland Group, added: “The growing number of high quality brands at Flemingate continues to reinforce its status as a key retail and leisure destination for the region.  This exciting opening adds depth to our offer, which will continue to evolve in 2016 with Riva Lounge and Café Bar and GBK, as well as some exciting retail announcements later this year.”

A SPECIALIST tax dispute business has relocated its headquarters from Harrogate to the Brackenholme Business Park near Howden in East Yorkshire.

Independent Tax, which also has offices in London and Spain, works with a broad range of clients across the UK, from sole traders and public sector organisations to billionaire businesspeople and celebrities.

The business consists of a highly experienced team of HMRC-handling and tax dispute specialists. The majority of Independent Tax’s team have worked for HMRC as tax inspectors, as well as advising businesses and individuals on their tax affairs.

Services include tax dispute resolution, risk reduction reviews, acting as expert witnesses for their clients and forensic accounting investigation.

Managing partner Gary Brothers said: “We love being based in this quiet, rural location and it’s often a pleasant surprise for our customers, who are used to dealing with firms in busy city centres. From our point of view, it keeps our overheads low and is easy to reach as the entire team lives within a 30-mile radius of here.

“It’s actually a much more discreet and relaxed environment for customers to visit, although we can also conduct meetings from our offices in London and Spain, if required. The nature of our business enables us to work from anywhere in the country and, in many ways, the rural location of our head office belies the scale and gravity of the cases that we get involved in.”
