Shortlist revealed for 2016 Rainmaker Awards

THE biggest and best deals by Yorkshire’s corporate finance community will be celebrated at the Rainmaker Awards in July, and we are today revealing the shortlist.

17 different deals have been shortlisted in the five deals categories, ranging from Business Growth Fund’s £7.6m investment in Xercise4Less up to the £1.4bn takeover of Pace by American giant ARRIS Group.
The work of the advisory teams will also be recognised, with awards for legal, corporate finance, VC/private equity, funder and transaction services teams.
The Rainmaker Awards, sponsored by YBS Share Plans, will take place at Royal Armouries, Leeds, on Thursday, July 7, and tickets can be bought online now.
The shortlists were drawn up by a 22-strong panel of people drawn from across Yorkshire’s corporate finance community and the winners will be chosen by a secure online vote, with each firm entitled to one vote each.
Invitations to the voting panel have been sent out, but if you want to be part of the process and don’t think your firm has been invited, email alex.turner@thebusinessdesk.com.
