Appointments: Law firm boosts personal injury team; Director appointment for solicitor; and more

ISON HARRISON, the Leeds-based law firm, has announced a number of appointments to strengthen its personal injury and clinical negligence teams.

James Thompson has taken up the role of interim head of clinical negligence, covering Rebecca Woods’ maternity leave. Mr Thompson used to work at Ison Harrison 10 years ago as a trainee solicitor then moved to Irwin Mitchell.

Also joining the personal injury team is Melita Roberts, a paralegal.

Another new addition is Barnaby Rosenthall, a solicitor with expertise in all aspects of clinical negligence.

James LegalKELLY BANNISTER has been appointed as a director at James Legal Solicitors.

Ms Bannister, who has worked in the legal profession for 14 years, is now the second director, alongside Nick Miller who set up James Legal in 2007.
 
Mr Miller said: “At James Legal we are all about client service and teamwork. Kelly is a true team player and regular feedback from clients supports the fact that she goes above and beyond the call of duty to help them.  Kelly was promoted to head of property 18 months ago and this move to director is a natural and well deserved progression.”

Swift GroupCOTTINGHAM-based Swift Group has strengthened its management team with the appointment of an operations director, finance director and head of marketing.

Operations director Martyn Cray brings a wealth of automotive manufacturing experience with major companies including Ford, Toyota and General Motors.

Richard Smeaton joins as finance director from the oil industry, having previously worked for the Shepherd Group.

Andy Newhall takes the head of marketing role, a new position within the company. He has over 20 year’s consumer marketing experience primarily with Reckitt Benckiser.
