For the ninth year, Leeds will be hosting its annual waterfront festival along the five-mile stretch of canals and rivers. The festival is set to be the biggest yet with an offering of arts, music, culture, boat rides, food, drinks and family activities.

2. Homegrown Food Fest

Location: Northallerton, North Yorkshire

The festival will include live music from local acts, cookery demonstrations, great food, over 100 stalls and a range of art activities for the kids.

Location: Harrogate Theatre
The first ever homeless themed musical will take centre stage this Saturday in Harrogate. All proceeds will be going to the Yorkshire charity, Simon on the Streets.

Meet Eat Treat 4. Meet, eat and treat

Date: 7:30pm Thursday 30th June
Location: Shambles Market, York

The newly improved York Farmer’s Market returns and will be offering up a hog roast, local beers and live music from York musician, Rachel Croft. The farmer’s market will offer tasty local pies, artisan bread and fresh farm eggs, unavailable from supermarkets.

Date: Thursday 23rd – Sunday 26th June
Location: Castle Howard, York

Castle Howard’s grand interiors will play host to an array of spectacular floral displays at its annual flower festival this weekend. Over 60 volunteers from local flower clubs and florists, including NAFAS president Janet Hayton, will work alongside Castle Howard’s own florists to fill the castle with a variety of arrangements both contemporary and traditional.
