York hotel picks up prestigious Lux award

THE Grand Hotel and Spa in York has become one of a handful of UK companies to be recognised in a global lifestyle awards.

Picking up the Most Luxurious Hotel and Spa accolade in the 2016 Lux Hospitality Awards, it sits alongside other award winners such as Le Monde Fish Bar and Grill in Birmingham, Los Angeles as Best Cultural City Tour and Botswana, which received the Wildlife Conservation Award.

The Lux awards are considered a benchmark for the hospitality sector and they recognise the achievements of firms within the industry, as well as grade client satisfaction.
 
Discussing the awards, co-ordinator Steve Simpson, said: “Throughout the hospitality industry there are establishments working tirelessly to ensure that they meet guests’ needs and provide them with an experience they will never forget.
