Golf centre tees off with free tuition challenge

LEEDS Golf Centre, the UK base of the Leadbetter Golf Academy, is launching a challenge which will give 16 complete beginners an opportunity to get into golf.

The Up to Scratch Challenge will see Leeds Golf Centre’s instructors turn golf beginners into players in just a matter of weeks.

Amateurs can apply for a chance to take advantage of eight weeks of free tuition from Leeds Golf Centre’s PGA Professionals and Certified Leadbetter Instructors, culminating in a knock out challenge.

Joe Feather, PGA professional and Leadbetter instructor at Leeds Gold Centre, said: “We want to make golf a more accessible sport to beginners and those considering taking up a new interest. We believe our first class facilities make for an ideal environment to learn the game of golf and we’re putting our expertise to the test by demonstrating just what can be achieved under the tuition of our Leadbetter Golf Academy instructors.”

The chosen 16 will receive an hour of tuition twice a week over an eight week period throughout July and August, culminating in a three-hole knockout event, taking place on September 11.

Entries close on July 10.
