Appointments: Law firm makes partner promotion; Eight hires for acquisitive agency; and more

ADRIAN CLOSSICK has been promoted to partner within the divorce and family team at Stewarts Law.

A founding member of the Leeds divorce team in 2009, he specialises in divorce and private family law, with a particular focus on the resolution of complex financial issues for high net worth individuals, whether married or unmarried.

A significant number of his cases involves trusts (including offshore), commercial and tax issues, family businesses, inherited wealth, international aspects and the tracing of assets.

THE Attercopia Group has made a series of appointments at its Huddersfield base following a period of growth.

The group, which this year acquired Manchester-based public relations consultancy Label PR, and Northamptonshire marketing agency Growth UK as part of its strategic expansion plan, has appointed eight team members at its Huddersfield head office this month – including five new members of its board.

The new faces include Simon Hicks who joins the business as strategy director with responsibilities for the group’s account management structure and the strategy of search and content services.

James Woodhead joins as commercial director and will direct the newly established automotive division of the business.

Andrew Cucksey has been appointed chief accountant while Simon Fuller joins as digital director, overseeing the development, design, support and hosting capabilities of The Group.

Daniel Wilson joins as business development director.

All five appointments join the business with seats on the management board.

Additionally, Sophie Harvey-Franklin joins the company as project manager alongside Nikki Taylor who has been welcomed to the digital marketing team as digital account manager. Stephen Highe joins the team as full-time social media manager following client wins, having previously held the post on a part-time basis.

Jenny Barron AWB CharlesworthJENNY BARRON is the latest addition to the wills, trust and probate department in the AWB Charlesworth Skipton office, taking the team to seven staff, and the department as a whole to 15 staff across three offices.

Ms Barron specialises in wills, trusts, probate, tax planning and court of protection matters and is keen to work closely with the existing AWB Charlesworth agricultural team specialising in tax planning for farmers.
