Appointments: Law firm hires property lawyer; Mutual boosts finance team; and more

LEEDS law firm Stone King has bolstered its commercial team with the appointment of business property lawyer Philip Lawrence.

Mr Lawrence joins Stone King as an associate solicitor from Veale Wasbrough Vizards, where he held a similar position.

He specialises in commercial property and property development, including advice on strategic land options and promotion agreements. He also has extensive experience dealing with commercial leases and licensed trade properties.

Also joining Stone King as a paralegal is Clare Sharp who was previously at Clark Willmott, where she was a legal secretary in financial litigation.  
Stone King also welcomes Darcy Short who joins the firm’s HR team as an apprentice recruitment administrator.

Beverley Building Society Steven Kennington and Jen AllottTWO recruits have been welcomed to Beverley Building Society’s finance team.
Steven Kennington has been working in financial accounting for over ten years prior to joining the Society and Jen Allott is the new accountant, having moved from Ideal Standard.

As an ACCA accountant, Mr Kennington began his career with EY, and after seven years moved to Aviva, he is now be applying his skills and experience as the Society’s new finance manager.

Ms Allott studied for her degree in business management at Hull University and is part-qualified with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), having now worked in finance for almost 10 years.

Finance director Janet Bedford said: “Steven and Jen have both already proven to be positive additions to the team, and we would all like to wish them the best of luck in a promising career at the Society.”

Lianne Biddulph Azzure ITTECH firm Azzure IT has strengthened its team.

Sheffield-based Azzure IT has hired Lianne Biddulph as project manager as the firm targets further growth over the summer.

Ms Biddulph brings a wealth of software implementation and project management knowledge.
