Burger restaurant fires up at Flemingate

BURGER restaurant Gourmet Burger Kitchen (GBK) has launched a 3,756 sq ft restaurant at Flemingate at the 162,561 sq ft retail and leisure development in Beverley.

The interior design of GBK Beverley takes inspiration from the town’s cobbled streets.  Traditional features including rich oak timbers are mixed with mid-century design pieces, colours and textures, to reflect the celebrated culture of the town.

GBK Beverley will be the brand’s 73rd restaurant and will create 32 jobs.Gourmet Kitchen Burger

GBK marketing manager Laura Pettingale said: “We’re so excited to be open in Beverley.

“Trade in the first few weeks has already been strong and we look forward to introducing local burger fans to our adventurous menu.”

Dominic Gibbons, managing director of Flemingate developer Wykeland Group, said: “GBK’s opening marks another great step forward in the centre’s all day dining offer extending to the evenings to complement the cinema and after work visitors.  It brings a nationally known brand that was previously unavailable in our catchment area to people’s doorsteps, and will no doubt provide a lot of footfall to the nearby Flemingate shops and local businesses too.”

GBK follows other recent openings at Flemingate including Riva Lounge, Baytree Interiors, and Peacocks.  Leading UK retailers River Island and Outfit are both set to open stores at Flemingate later in the year.

Metis Real Estate Advisors acted for Wykeland.  GBK was represented by JLL.
