Record turnover sees agency invest in new HQ

MANIFEST is investing in the North after reaching a record turnover and investing £150,000 in its new headquarters in the Leeds Dock area.

The move coincides with the agency’s founders selling their stake in their London operation, Manifest London, for a six-figure sum.

The integrated agency, which reported a £2.5m turnover figure at the end of June, also marks its year-end by announcing a re-brand and will now be known as ilk agency.

Founded in 1999 by managing director Nev Ridley and creative director Shaun Beaumont, the agency employs 36 staff across Leeds and Manchester with a new London operation from August 1.

Nev Ridley, managing director of ilk, said: “So much has changed over the last 17 years – both in terms of the industry and the way we work. We’ve found that our clients rarely want a single service anymore – they just want the answer or solution to an opportunity or an issue. So whether that answer is PR, digital, strategy, video (or a combination) is irrelevant, just so long as the project gets results. We’ve naturally evolved to work that way – which is a core reason why our new brand puts such emphasis on the value of collective, connected and integrated work.

He added: “We have grown year-on-year since 1999, and with our investment in our new office at Leeds Dock and another £200,000 in seven new staff this year, this underlines our dedication to investing in the North. We are extremely excited to see what more we can achieve as ilk on both a national and international basis.”
