Super League hopeful hit by winding up petition

HMRC HAVE brought a winding up petition against Super League hopefuls Featherstone Rovers.

On 4 July the club, based at The Big Fellas Stadium in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, HMRC brought the petition against them as creditors of the business.

If it is not resolved by 5 September the club will go before a hearing.

Championship club Featherstone are based in the old mining town of the same name,

It will be the fourth winding up petition brought by HMRC this year against the club.

Winding up petitions were brought against the club in May, March, January 2016 and December 2015.

Featherstone Rovers and the Rugby Football League have been contacted.
