Best University cities for property investors revealed

NORTHERN cities have been revealed as the having the best performing rental yields in the UK, just as this year’s undergraduates prepare to head off to University for the first time.

According to research by Property Partner, buy-to-let properties near Northern universities are in a prime position for those looking to invest in a student property.

Whilst properties in the North East of the country came top on the list of 86 university towns and cities, those in Yorkshire weren’t far behind.

Properties situated near The University of Huddersfield and The University of Leeds ranked in the top 20 best performing rental yields.

Property owners who choose to invest in the area near The University of Huddersfield could be looking at £540pcm and landlords choosing to buy near The University of Leeds could be raking in up to £776pcm.
