Work gets underway on student scheme
WORK has started on a 63-bed student scheme in Sheffield.
Having secured planning permission for 63 student bedrooms plus communal facilities on Trippet Lane, KMRE has completed a £5.45m forward funding development contract with its client Empiric Student Property.
Managing director of KMRE, Kam Mogul, said: “The student accommodation sector in Sheffield has remained buoyant, particularly in prime locations within the city.
“There have been numerous challenges to overcome but we are delighted to have our chosen contractor start on site having now completed the demolition and extensive archaeological program in conjunction with Sheffield City Council.”
The scheme will be delivered for July 2017 in time for the 2017/18 academic year. Colliers International advised KMRE Group.
