Healthy expansion for insurer as new HQ launch nears

THE relocation and expansion of one of Britain’s longest established health insurers moved a step closer with dates confirmed for the opening of what will be a new ‘hub for health and wellbeing’ in the heart of Sheffield.

Westfield Health is moving into new headquarters in the former Milton House on Charter Row.

It says the switch to the new home for more than 200 employees signifies the “start of a new era” where it is embracing developing markets in wellbeing and care.

Westfield House will feature a spacious new Customer Hub complete with iPads for self-service, as well as a business lounge with dedicated meeting rooms and refreshments.

Westfield Health’s redevelopment of the eight-story building will include incubator spaces and an enterprise hub to support the growth of health and wellbeing start-ups.

Chief Executive at Westfield Health, Jill Davies, said: “The move is a major milestone for both Westfield Health and the city of Sheffield.

“The new offices will offer a remarkable health and wellbeing hub for our teams, customers, the people of Sheffield and wider population.

“We’re already working with a number of agencies to progress the opportunities offered by the incubator spaces and enterprise hub and we’re excited that shortly we will be announcing more about how start-ups can apply to work with us, as well as news of organisations relocating to the hub.

“This move places us firmly at the forefront of our sector as we continue to expand.”

She added: “Through our partnerships with the Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre at the thriving Olympic Legacy Park, Business Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University, we are exploring how research and cutting-edge technology can be developed to support the population in terms of physical and emotional health and wellbeing, as well as care.

“Our new building will enable us to take this further, bringing health, wellbeing and care solutions to the people of Sheffield and beyond.”

Westfield Health, founded in Sheffield almost 100 years ago, has occupied its current office at 87 Division Street since 1973.

The new offices will see Westfield Health occupy five floors from Monday 19 September.
