Portuguese restaurant lunches on first UK opening in Yorkshire

PORTUGUESE-INSPIRED restaurant Veri Peri is opening up its first UK base in Yorkshire.

Peri-peri chicken, Angus steaks and espetadas will be on the menu at Veri Peri’s first ever site at The Broadway in Bradford.

The restaurant said it aims to bring “a taste of worldwide flavour” to Bradford, having launched three sites already in the Middle East.

It officially opened this week on Wednesday 31 August with the Mayor of Bradford, councillor Geoff Reid on hand to help open its new site.

Muhammad Saad Javed, restaurant manager at Veri Peri, is excited for the people of Bradford to dive into this new culinary experience themselves. He said: “When we were looking at where to make our first impact on the UK restaurant scene, it was clear that Bradford would be the perfect fit.

“The community here is incredibly diverse, and so we knew that the people of Bradford would appreciate the dishes that we’ll be serving up.

“I’m really confident that we’ll be able to make our mark in The Broadway, and that shoppers here will relish the chance to try our food. We’re hoping that this will be the beginning of a great journey for Veri Peri in the UK.”

General Manager of The Broadway, Ian Ward, said: “Veri Peri will make a welcome addition to our wide-ranging portfolio of restaurants within the centre, and I’m sure that our customers will be incredibly keen to try out the menu.”
